Courses
Language Arts
We follow a unique, classical English program, based on an ancient Greek teaching approach called Progymnasmata. Students build a strong vocabulary, superior writing skills, and learn rhetoric and persuasion. Students will also be studying works of literature as well as media, all of which is interlaced into Gurmat studies.
Mathematics
We teach a program called Singapore math, which has been proven to be one of the strongest approaches to teaching mathematics in the world. Our teachers have specific training to teach this curriculum. We have tried and tested this program, and have seen that it puts our students ahead of the public school system.
Social Studies
Students will learn about world history, geography, and civics, building a strong understanding of the overlap of historical events throughout time and their effects on the mapping of geographical borders. Students will also develop a unique awareness of Sikh history and the coinciding of important events in Punjab and India with socio-political occurrences in the world.
Science & Technology
Students will be exposed to interactive materials and media which will engage them and help them to learn and understand concepts. We keep high academic standards to ensure students keep ahead of the public school system.
Languages
As a Canadian school we offer French for our senior students, taught by trained and certified teachers! We also extensively teach Punjabi .
